January update

Time flies when you’re having fun!

(or as Kermit once said, Time’s fun when you’re having flies!)

Well, January is nearly over ! Our Child of God service had a good time learning about the Kings from the East and the gifts they brought to Jesus. We even got to find out what frankincense and myrrh smelled like!

We learned about Saul becoming a King of Israel. We pretended to be one of Jesses’s sons as God was selecting someone to become the king after Saul. We were all rejected until finally the eighth son (played by Griffin) appeared and was picked by God to be the anointed one. Griffin even got real oil poured on his head, surprise! That day we made paper crowns to bring home. We heard the story about David and his harp. That was another fun one! We made harps during craft time so we had something to remember the story with. Mr Steve and Miss Char, along with their helpers Devlin and Griffin, made the stories so much fun for us. Thank you!

Sunday, January 26, we heard the story about David and Bathsheba. Next Sunday, February 2, we will hear the story of Solomon and the queen of Sheba. Stay tuned!
