Join the Atonement Men’s Group on New Year’s Day for a journey into the past. We will be visiting the Dade Battle Reenactment at the historic battlefield site in Bushnell Florida.
This battle marked the beginning of the Second Seminole Indian War in 1835. This historical site features a preserved section of the Fort King Highway, a replica of the battle breastworks, and an interpretive museum. The reenactment will have soldiers and Seminole Indians in authentic attire with period weapons.
There will also be vendors demonstrating historical settler crafts and skills, children’s games, rustic food, and frontier lifestyle.
We will be meeting at the church at 11:00 a.m. to caravan and carpool to this event. There is a nominal cost involved. $3.00/car plus $5.00/person, under 5 years is free. Money will be collected at the gate. If you are interested, please sign up in the Nart
