"Shawls ... made for centuries universal and embracing,
symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving, God.
They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace,
mother, hug, shelter and beautify.
Those who have received these shawls have been
uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to
fly above their troubles..."

"Gracious & Loving God, May this shawl, knitted/crocheted with love and many prayers, bless you. May you feel the comfort, healing, peace, and love of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit knitted/crocheted into every stitch by a loving, praying person. May the warmth it brings and the colors it bears soothe your body, heart, mind, and soul. Amen."
The Yarns of Love Ministry, chaired by Anne Chase, is providing comfort to those who need comfort. At the WELCA meeting on January 11, several prayer shawls were blessed by the ladies in attendance. If someone you know or you would receive comfort from a prayer shawl, notify the church office. This ministry would be happy to give you a prayer shawl. Also, consider joining the fellowship at the church on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays - 1-2:30 January 16 is the next Yarns of Love fellowship.
