Our Lutheran WELCA ladies met in Friendship Hall this morning. The ladies were asked to bring a long-stem flower. The flowers were arranged in four vases for tomorrow's service in honor of Mother's Day. Co-leader Diana Christian called the meeting to order. Olivia David provided the devotion and prayer. Various reports were given as well as info on upcoming events/projects. Conni Leaf Kerrigan updated the group on the June 13th open house plans. The ladies voted to fund two VBS sponsorships ($200) and a $250 donation in honor of Jackie & Jeff Glawe's daughter Jordan to the school (La Promesa) in Guatemala. As has become our custom, the meeting closed with the joining of hands and reciting The Lord's Prayer. Today was the last WELCA meeting till September. Have a great.summer!!
